Test Run | Enell Sports Bra
So when I first opened my parcel and saw the sports bra I had been asked to review, my initial thoughts were “Wow, that’s bright! and Big!” as I viewed the bright red, satin-like material bra with no less than 10 hook and eye fastenings at the front and a large, full sports-like back to it. Not something I would originally consider if I’d seen this in a shop (normally being conservative and opting for boring black). The name ‘Wonder Woman’ sprung to mind!!
Anyway, let’s give this a go.....as I’m used to my normal sports bra going over my head and fastening at the back like a normal bra, my first attempt at putting this bra on required a little effort!! Trying to do the hook and eyes up while holding myself in place seemed complicated at first but, actually, was a lot easier than it first seemed!
It’s on!! Straight away I noticed how supported I was, how secure it felt and how well it fitted.....no horrible excess skin or fat spilling over the top or sides! More importantly it wasn’t pulling on my neck in the same way my existing sports bra did! This is comfy, I love it!! Let’s put it to the test!
I started with a gentle 5k run. I met with the ‘So Let’s Go Running (Walderslade)’ ladies and gave them a quick look!
They all loved the colour and commented on how nice it looked. Felt great while i was running - offered support but with no uncomfortable tightness through my neck or back! To be honest, it was one of those ‘didn’t even know I was wearing it’ situations which I’m guessing is something, as runners, we all want!
Having had a few discussions with ladies in the running group about bras, I think an interesting and massive plus factor for this bra is the front fastening. It would appear that many good sports bras go over the head which seem to be difficult for people with back or neck problems.
This bra claims on the label that it has ‘Moisture wicking NATUREXX treatment to keep you cool and comfortable’. I certainly felt this was the case...no sweat issue here! Home for a shower, easy to get off!
Now time to try on a longer run, 14k this time. My second attempt at putting this bra on was so much easier!
I’m getting the knack of this already, didn’t take long at all this time. I’m so impressed with how comfy this bra feels and how much support it offers while barely knowing you are wearing it! And it was certainly no different over a longer distance.
I would highly recommend this bra. It’s different and certainly has a bit more of a ‘wow’ factor to it. Although slightly more expensive than some of the others out there, I feel that the cost is justified and worth it. This is clearly a good quality, well made bra. It’s comfortable, supportive and, as mentioned, great for people with issues getting tight sports bras over their head!! I suggest that it may be a good one to try if you suffer from back pain during exercise.
